This mask is a wonderful treat for your skin — a spa-like experience right in the comfort of your own home. ✨

Prep

Before diving into your facial routine, I recommend doing it before bed, particularly when your skin is extra oily or when it just needs a refresh — you know the feeling.

Consider partaking in the tranquility with a warm cup of tea. ☕ It sets the perfect mood for what's to come. 

Another good tip to consider is syncing your skincare routine with the phases of the moon. Just like the full moon signifies letting go and detoxifying, our facial mask will work in tandem. 🌙 Embrace the lunar energy and bid farewell to what no longer serves you — both internally and externally.

The Power of Ingredients

🍋 Matcha and lemongrass are a match made in skincare heaven! 

While matcha is celebrated for its internal detoxifying prowess, it's equally impressive when applied topically. It’s a gentle yet effective clay-like mask that doesn't strip your skin of its natural oils. Plus, the caffeine infusion gives your complexion that coveted healthy glow. 

Meanwhile, lemongrass calms your senses and transports you to a state of bliss. It really is a relaxing reset for the soul that I hope you’ll appreciate as much as I do. 

Recipe for Radiance

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of matcha

  • 3-4 drops of lemongrass essential oil

  • Water (to achieve desired consistency)

Method:

  1. Grab a spoon and mix the matcha with lemongrass essential oil until it forms a smooth paste. Add water gradually until you reach the desired consistency.

  2. With gentle fingers or a spoon, apply the mask onto your face, starting from the center and working your way outwards — and don't forget your neck.

  3. Next, let the mask work into your skin for about 20 minutes. Take this time to sip on your tea, stretch, or catch up on your favorite book.

  4. When the mask is dry, gently soften it with a warm, damp face cloth. Then, wipe away the remnants of the day, revealing a refreshed and radiant complexion.

  5. Splash some water on your face to remove any lingering traces of the mask, and pat dry with a clean face cloth.

Storage:

This mask stays fresh in an airtight container placed in the refrigerator for up to a week. Use your leftovers whenever you need a little pick-me-up!
